Residential Stamped Tile Overlay Pool Deck in Greenville, SC

Warm Brown Running Bond Tile Pattern — Full Wraparound Pool Deck and Walkway in Greenville

Zachary Daniel Concrete finished a full wraparound pool deck and connecting walkway in Greenville, South Carolina with a warm brown stamped concrete overlay in a running bond rectangular tile pattern — a travertine-inspired finish that gives a large outdoor pool space the look of natural stone tile with the durability and slip resistance that a pool deck needs year-round. The project covered the entire deck surrounding a kidney-shaped pool with attached spa, curving around the pool's organic edge and extending into the side walkway connecting from the gate to the deck — all in one continuous, consistent finish.

ZDC applied a polymer-modified cement overlay across the entire surface, working the material smoothly around the pool coping, the curves of the deck perimeter, and through the walkway transitions without breaking the tile pattern. A running bond stamp pressed the rectangular tile grid into the wet overlay, and a natural stone texture was hand-worked into each tile face for the depth and variation that makes the finish read like real travertine rather than a repeated pattern. A warm brown base color with a darker antiquing color worked into the joint lines develops the contrast that gives the tile its definition — subtle enough to look natural, distinct enough to read clearly from across the yard. A UV-stable exterior sealer locked everything in for pool-side conditions: water, sun, chlorine splash, and the foot traffic a busy backyard pool sees all season long.

The result is a pool deck that looks like it was built around natural stone tile and holds up like concrete. Call Zach at (864) 770-8608 if you have a pool deck, patio, or outdoor space that needs the same kind of finish.
