Custom Fawn Stain on a New Construction Porch Addition

Zachary Daniel Concrete finished a brand-new porch slab in Greenville, South Carolina with a warm, entertainment-ready grind, stain, and seal in a custom fawn color. The slab was part of a fresh home addition — new hardscaping, a beautiful new porch, and a slab that came in dense and hard with no broom finish, which actually made the grinding work cleaner and more uniform.

The ZDC crew ran one to two grinding passes across the entire surface to even out the texture and open the concrete up to accept stain. From there the team deep-cleaned the slab, solvent-wiped it, cleaned it again, and started the staining process — applying four layers of fawn stain to build the color the homeowner wanted, with a full range of alternate stains on-site in case they wanted to adjust the tone on the fly. Once the stain locked in, the crew sealed the porch and finished with a non-slip top coat — exactly what an outdoor entertaining space needs when there's going to be people, drinks, and weather on it.
