Residential Polished Concrete Garage Floor in Greenville, SC

Character-Rich Polish on a Multi-Use Garage — Reflective, Durable, and Slip-Resistant

Zachary Daniel Concrete brought a heavily lived-in garage in Greenville, South Carolina to a mirror-reflective 800 grit polish — a finish so clear you can almost make out the leaves of the trees outside in the surface. This slab came in with every issue a polish job can face: pitting, high spots, low spots, waviness, old oil staining from years of car work, dark moisture marks, water damage from past flooding, and major cracks running through the field.

ZDC walked the homeowner through every other system that would have buried the damage — epoxy flake, solid color coatings, decorative overlays — but the client loved the character and story of the concrete and wanted that history to show through. The crew extracted as much oil as the slab would give up, filled the major cracks, ground the field flat in progressive passes, then took the surface up through a polishing sequence to an 800 grit finish.

The result is a glossy, reflective floor that still has real grip — closer to a gymnasium floor than a slick showroom. The homeowner is using the garage as a full-service suite: parking on one side, a home gym with rubber mats, and a wood shop. The floor will hold up to all of it.
