Yellow and Green Pedestrian and Forklift Zone Lines — 225 Linear Feet Plus Corner Safety Striping
Zachary Daniel Concrete returned to American Plastics in Simpsonville, South Carolina — a client ZDC had already served with a commercial epoxy flake installation — to install warehouse safety line striping across the facility. The project covered two separate areas: a 20-foot corner safety line in one section of the warehouse, and 225 linear feet of three-foot-wide pedestrian and forklift zone lines running the length of a large open floor area. The larger line system uses the standard industrial safety color code: green for the pedestrian walkway, yellow for the forklift caution zone. The green section defines the area where people walk. The yellow line runs alongside it as a visual barrier — a clear signal to forklift operators to stay out of the pedestrian path.
ZDC measured off the wall and the floor joint to keep the lines laser-straight across the full 225-foot run, producing the kind of clean, professional safety marking that reads from across a warehouse floor. The corner safety line was a shorter run — one 20-foot stripe to deter pedestrians and equipment from cutting the corner — and was installed in yellow per the client's preference. Lines like these aren't decorative.
